How to Enable Auto-Tagging in Google Ads
Before You Begin
- You will need Admin access to the Google Ads account to change this setting.
- If auto-tagging is already enabled in your account, you can skip these steps.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Sign in to Google Ads Log in to your .
- Navigate to Admin In the left-hand navigation menu, click on Admin.
Go to Account Settings From the Admin menu that appears, select Account Settings.
Enable the Auto-Tagging Setting
- On the Account Settings page, select the Auto-tagging section.
- Ensure the box next to "Tag the URL that people click through from my ad" is checked.
- Click Save.
Auto-tagging is now enabled for your account. All ad campaigns will automatically have the GCLID parameter appended to their URLs, ensuring seamless performance tracking.
