# Raise your Meta Ads billing threshold

> Request a higher Meta billing threshold to consolidate charges, simplify accounting, and reduce the risk of campaigns pausing from frequent declines.

Meta's billing threshold determines how much ad spend accumulates before Meta charges your payment method. By default, new accounts start with a low threshold, which can result in multiple small charges per day. Requesting a higher threshold consolidates those charges into fewer, larger payments — reducing transaction volume, simplifying accounting, and lowering the risk of campaigns pausing because of a high-frequency decline.

## Benefits of a higher billing threshold

* **Fewer transactions** — Charges are consolidated into fewer, larger payments instead of many small ones throughout the day.
* **Simplified accounting** — Less frequent charges make reconciliation easier and reduce the number of line items in your financial records.
* **Improved ad performance** — Fewer charge attempts mean fewer opportunities for a payment decline to trigger a campaign pause, keeping your ads running uninterrupted.

## What to expect from Meta

<Warning>
  Meta may not approve a large threshold increase immediately. For new ad accounts or accounts requesting a significant increase, Meta typically raises the threshold gradually as you establish a track record of successful payments.
</Warning>

Meta evaluates billing threshold requests based on your account's payment history. If your account is new or you're requesting a substantial increase, Meta may:

* Require a period of consistent, successful payments before approving the change
* Incrementally raise the threshold over time rather than granting the full requested amount in one step

To build your threshold eligibility faster, ensure your Dash.fi card has sufficient available credit and that AutoPay is enabled so payments don't fail. See the [Meta AutoPay](./autopay-meta-invoices) guide for setup instructions.

<Tip>
  If your threshold increase request is denied, continue running campaigns normally for a few weeks and try again. A clean payment history is the most effective way to qualify for a higher threshold.
