# Approvals on mobile

> Review card requests, expense submissions, and bill payments awaiting approval from the Inbox tab in the Dash.fi iOS and Android mobile app.

The **Inbox** tab collects notifications for approval requests that need your attention. Approvers can action requests directly from the app without opening the web dashboard.

## Inbox notifications

Notifications are grouped into **Today** and **Earlier**. Unread notifications are highlighted with a dot and bold text.

The inbox receives notifications for:

| Type                   | Description                                            |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Card request**       | A team member has requested a new card                 |
| **Expense submission** | A team member has submitted an expense for review      |
| **Bill payment**       | A bill payment is awaiting approval                    |
| **Vendor changes**     | A vendor or payment method has been created or updated |

Tapping a notification that still needs a decision opens the approval modal.

## Approving or denying a request

When you tap an actionable notification, a modal appears showing the request details and the available actions. Tap **Approve** or **Deny** to action the request. The modal closes automatically after your decision.

If the request has already been actioned by another approver, the modal shows the current status and can be dismissed.

## Previewing attachments

If the request has a receipt or other attachment, it appears as a tappable preview in the approval modal. Tap it to review before deciding:

* Images open in a full-screen pinch-to-zoom viewer.
* PDFs open in the in-app browser.
* Other file types open via your device's default handler.

## After approval

* **Card approved** — the inbox notification links directly to the card in the Cards tab
* **Expense approved** — the inbox notification links to the transaction in the Activity tab, with the expense sheet pre-opened

## Inbox management

* **Mark all read** — marks all notifications as read without opening them
* **Clear** — archives all notifications so they no longer appear

Both actions are available in the top-right corner of the inbox.
