# Redeem cashback rewards

> How cashback payouts work, when to expect them, and how your rewards are paid out.

You don't need to initiate a redemption. Dash.fi calculates your cashback, then disburses it on your behalf according to the schedule and method defined in your rewards terms.

Your payout history and next expected payout date are shown in the **Rewards** section of your dashboard at [app.dash.fi](https://app.dash.fi).

## How you're paid

Your redemption method is set on your account as part of your rewards terms — it isn't something you choose per payout. The common methods are:

* **Deposit to your account** — cashback is transferred to your Dash.fi account (Dash Cash), where you can apply it to your balance or withdraw it to your connected bank. This is the most common method.
* **Loaded onto a Rewards Card** — cashback is added as a balance on your Dash.fi [Rewards Card](/rewards/rewards-card).

If you're not sure which method applies to your account, check the **Rewards** section of your dashboard or ask your account manager.

## Payout schedule

Your payout frequency and timing are defined in your rewards terms and vary by account — you can see your specific terms in the Rewards section of your dashboard.

  Some reward types — such as prepayment rebates — accrue toward an **annual** payout rather than your standard schedule. These are paid at the end of the earn period defined in your terms, which your dashboard tracks under annual payout progress.

## Moving a Rewards Card balance to your bank

This section only applies if your cashback is **loaded onto a Rewards Card**. If your rewards are deposited to your account instead, you don't need to do anything — withdraw from your account balance as normal.

If you do have a balance on a Rewards Card and want to move it to your bank, one option is to route it through PayPal:

    In your PayPal **Wallet**, select **Link a debit or credit card** and add your Dash.fi Rewards Card.

    Use PayPal's **Transfer Money → Add money from bank or debit card**, choose your Rewards Card as the source, and enter the amount.

  <Step title="Transfer from PayPal to your bank">
    In PayPal, go to **Transfer to bank** and choose an instant or standard transfer.

<Warning>
  PayPal is a third-party service, not a Dash.fi integration — fees and availability are set by PayPal. Instant transfers may incur a processing fee; standard transfers are typically free but take 1–3 business days. Make sure the Rewards Card is active and has sufficient balance, or the transfer will fail.
