# Rewards Card

> How the Dash.fi Rewards Card works — getting one issued, managing it, and what to do when it's declined.

The Rewards Card is a separate card product from your standard Dash.fi business cards. It's tied to your rewards program and is issued as a virtual card. Because it's a different card type, it's requested, managed, and troubleshot differently from the virtual cards you create in the Cards tab.

## Get a Rewards Card

To get a Rewards Card issued, contact [support@dash.fi](mailto:support@dash.fi) or your account manager. The team will issue it and follow up if anything else is needed.

## Manage your Rewards Card

From the card detail view you can:

* **Rename** the card
* **Freeze and unfreeze** it (snowflake and sun icons)
* **Archive** it (permanent — an archived card can't be reactivated)

<Warning>
  Allowed countries and spend categories **can't be edited on a Rewards Card yourself** — unlike standard virtual cards. The only field you can change after issuance is the card name. To adjust country or category access, contact [support@dash.fi](mailto:support@dash.fi).
</Warning>

## Find your Rewards Card transactions

Rewards Card transactions live in the **Rewards** section — not under Spend → Card Transactions, which only shows your standard virtual cards.

1. Go to **Rewards** in the left-hand navigation
2. Open the **Transactions** tab
3. Use the filters to narrow by card or status

This is also where declined charges appear. If you don't see a charge here, see [If your Rewards Card is declined](#if-your-rewards-card-is-declined) below.

## If your Rewards Card is declined

Start with two quick checks:

1. **Is the card frozen?** Open it from **Rewards → Cards** — if the snowflake icon is active, tap the sun icon to unfreeze and retry.
2. **What's the decline reason?** Find the charge in **Rewards → Transactions**, open it, and check the decline code.

If the transaction doesn't appear in Rewards → Transactions at all, it never reached authorization — the merchant or issuer blocked it before it hit your card. In that case, check that the card is active and the details entered at checkout are correct.

Once you have a decline code, use the table below to resolve it. The key difference from a standard card is that restriction-based declines can't be self-served on a Rewards Card:

| What you see | What it means | What to do |
| -------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Country not allowed | The merchant's country isn't enabled on the card | Contact [support@dash.fi](mailto:support@dash.fi) — you can't edit allowed countries on a Rewards Card yourself |
| Spend category not allowed | The merchant's category isn't enabled on the card | Contact [support@dash.fi](mailto:support@dash.fi) — categories aren't self-editable on a Rewards Card           |
| Card frozen | The card was frozen | Unfreeze it from the card detail view and retry |
| Spend limit reached | The card's spend limit has been used | Contact [support@dash.fi](mailto:support@dash.fi) to discuss the limit |

For general decline reasons that aren't specific to Rewards Cards — card detail mismatches, expired cards, or issuer errors — see [Card declines](/cards/card-declines).

<Note>
  The self-serve "add the country or category to the card yourself" steps in [Card declines](/cards/card-declines) apply to standard virtual cards, **not** Rewards Cards. On a Rewards Card, those controls are managed by Dash.fi.
</Note>

## Transferring your rewards balance

There's no way to move a rewards balance from one card to another in the dashboard. To redeem your cashback, transfer it to your bank via PayPal — see [Redeem cashback](/rewards/redeem-cashback). If you need to reallocate funds in a specific way, contact [support@dash.fi](mailto:support@dash.fi).

## Cashback rates

Your cashback rates are defined by your account's rewards terms — not configured per card and not set per merchant. You can't change the rate on an individual card, and a card used at a particular merchant doesn't have its own rate. See [Earning rewards](/rewards/earning-rewards) for how rates and qualification work, or review your rates with your account manager.
