The Dash.fi application collects information about your business and its owners to verify eligibility and set your spend limit and net terms. Entering accurate information the first time avoids processing delays — errors in fields like your legal name, address, or EIN can slow down the review significantly.

Signing up

Dash.fi signup is a two-phase process:
  1. Create your account. Sign up with Google, Microsoft, or email and password. If you use OAuth, Dash.fi prefills your name and email from the provider.
  2. Tell us about your company. After account creation you land on a short two-step wizard:
    • Step 1 — enter your company name and, optionally, your website or work domain. Dash.fi looks up your logo automatically from the domain.
    • Step 2 — enter your company size to finish creating the organization.
You’re then taken to your account activation hub at Account, where the application checklist lives.
Only members with the Administrator role (or another role that grants account-application:write) can complete the application. Other members see a read-only note on the application gate until the application is approved.

Application steps

The activation checklist is shown at Account, with each step as its own page. Steps can be completed in any order, and the checklist tracks progress. You can navigate between steps at any time until the application is submitted.

1. Company qualification

Confirm whether your company is a U.S. company (registered entity with a 9-digit EIN and an SSN for its beneficial owners) or an international company. International companies without a U.S. entity aren’t currently eligible and are routed to a rejection page.

2. Identity verification

Verify your identity and the identity of any beneficial owners (individuals with 25% or greater ownership) with a quick ID and selfie check via Plaid, required by our issuing bank. Supported document types are listed on the Identity verification page. Documents must be clear, in colour, with all four corners visible. Temporary IDs aren’t accepted.

3. Business details

Provide your company’s:
  • Legal entity name (exactly as it appears on government filings)
  • EIN
  • Operating address (physical address — no P.O. Boxes)
  • Month and year of incorporation
Use your exact legal name as it appears on incorporation documents. By default, your Doing Business As (DBA) name matches your legal entity name, and the DBA field is hidden. If your business operates under a different name, select My company operates under a different name (DBA) to reveal the field and enter it. Otherwise, leave the checkbox cleared and your DBA stays in sync with the legal name. Don’t type values like “Same” or “N/A” into the DBA field.

4. Beneficial owners

Add anyone who owns 25% or more of the business, plus the controlling officer for your entity type. This step folds both groups into one page.

5. Funding account

Connect your business bank via Plaid. Dash.fi uses this account to settle balances.

6. Supporting documents

Upload a recent bank statement so the team can verify your account.

7. Terms and conditions

Review the fees and sign the Dash.fi cardholder agreement to activate your card. This step cannot be skipped. Once you submit, the Dash.fi team reviews your application. Until it’s approved, the dashboard shows a pre-approval view with the onboarding checklist and funding, paydown, and product features are gated.

Tips for a smooth application

  • Use your exact legal name — as it appears on government-issued documents
  • Provide your exact business address — no abbreviations unless they appear on official filings
  • Double-check all owner information — SSNs and dates of birth must be accurate
  • Upload clear document images — all four corners visible, all text legible

Correcting errors after submission

Once submitted, the checklist is read-only and shows the current application status. If you submitted incorrect information, contact support@dash.fi with:
  • The email address on the account
  • First and last name of each applicant or business owner
  • DBA name (if applicable)
  • A brief description of what needs to be corrected
The compliance team can reset the relevant verification steps so you can re-enter the correct information.

If identity verification fails

If the system can’t verify your identity or a beneficial owner’s identity, you’ll be prompted to re-submit documents. Common reasons for verification failure:
  • The photo was too dark, blurry, or had corners cut off
  • A temporary ID was submitted (not accepted)
  • The document submitted doesn’t match the required type for that verification step
  • The name or date of birth on the document doesn’t match what was entered in the application
Re-upload a clear, full-colour photo of an accepted document. See Identity verification for the full list of accepted document types and photo requirements. If you’ve re-submitted and are still seeing failures, contact support@dash.fi — the team can review the specific step and advise on what’s needed.

If your application is declined

If Dash.fi is unable to approve your application, you’ll receive an adverse action notice. This notice explains the basis for the decision and includes information about your rights under applicable law. Adverse action is typically related to KYB/KYC verification outcomes, business eligibility, or underwriting criteria. The adverse action notice will direct you to the relevant credit reporting agency if your consumer credit file was a factor. If you believe the decision was made on incorrect information, contact support@dash.fi with your application email and a description of the issue. The team can review whether any information can be corrected and the application reconsidered.
