Account Owners can invite new users to Dash.fi, remove users who no longer need access, and manage team membership entirely from the Company panel — no additional tools or external systems required.

Adding a new user

New users are invited by an Account Owner from the Company panel. Once added, they receive an email to set their own password and access the dashboard.
1

Log in to your Dash.fi dashboard

Go to app.dash.fi and sign in with your Account Owner credentials.
2

Navigate to Company

Click Company in the left panel of the dashboard.
3

Open the People tab

Within Company, click the People tab, then click Invite Person.
4

Enter the new user's information

Fill in the following fields:
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Phone Number (optional)
  • Email Address
5

User receives an invitation email

The new user will receive a Reset Password Notification email at the address you provided.
6

User sets their password

The new user clicks the Reset Password button in the email, creates a password, and gains access to their Dash.fi account.
New users are assigned a default role when added. If you need to assign a specific role such as Accounting, refer to the User Roles page for details on each permission level.

Import users from CSV

If you need to add several users at once, upload a CSV instead of inviting people one by one. Dash.fi validates every row before creating any users, so you can fix mistakes and re-upload without ending up with partial data.
1

Navigate to Company → People

From your Dash.fi dashboard, click Company in the left panel, then open the People tab.
2

Start a bulk import and download the template

Choose the CSV bulk-import action, then download the CSV template. The template contains the exact column headings Dash.fi expects and a sample row you can replace.
3

Fill in your users

Add one user per row using these columns:
4

Upload the file

Upload the completed CSV. Dash.fi checks each row and flags any errors — for example a missing name, an invalid email or phone number, a duplicate email, or a role that doesn’t exist on your account (invalidRole). Dash.fi skips any row with errors.
5

Review and confirm

Fix any flagged rows in your CSV and re-upload if needed, then confirm the import. Each successfully imported user receives the same Reset Password Notification email as a single invite and can sign in once they set a password.
Leave the roles column blank to import users with the default role, then update roles individually from the People tab afterwards.

Export users

Account Owners can export the current list of users to a CSV file — useful for auditing access, reconciling with an HR system, or sharing a snapshot with your finance team. The export mirrors whatever filters you’ve applied on the People tab.
1

Navigate to Company → People

Click Company in the left panel of the dashboard, then open the People tab.
2

Filter the list (optional)

Use the search box, status filter, and sort controls to narrow the People table to the users you want to export. The export includes only the rows currently matching your filters.
3

Click Export

Click the Export button in the table toolbar. Dash.fi generates a CSV and downloads it as users.csv.
The CSV includes the following columns for each user: Dashfi ID, External ID, Status, First name, Middle name, Last name, Email, Phone, Roles, Email verified, Phone verified, MFA enrolled, and Created at.
A single export is capped at 1,000 users. If your current filter matches more than that, Dash.fi returns a tooManyItems error instead of a partial file — narrow the filter (for example by status or name) and try again.

Removing a user

To remove a user’s access to the Dash.fi account, follow these steps:
1

Log in to your Dash.fi dashboard

Go to app.dash.fi and sign in with your Account Owner credentials.
2

Navigate to Company

Click Company in the left panel of the dashboard.
3

Open the People tab and locate the user

Click the People tab and find the user you want to remove. Click directly on their profile to open it.
4

Click Remove User

In the upper-right corner of the user’s profile page, click the red Remove User button to revoke their access.
Removing a user is immediate. The user will lose access to the dashboard as soon as you confirm the removal. Make sure any cards assigned to that user are reassigned or closed before removing them.

Updating user information

You cannot edit an existing user’s details directly. If a user’s name, email address, or other information needs to be updated, create a new user profile with the correct information and then remove the outdated one.
Before removing the old user, make sure the new user has successfully logged in and their access is confirmed. This avoids any interruption in the team member’s ability to use Dash.fi.
