The Rewards Card is a separate card product from your standard Dash.fi business cards. It’s tied to your rewards program and is available as a virtual or physical card. Because it’s a different card type, it’s requested, managed, and troubleshot differently from the virtual cards you create in the Cards tab.

Request a Rewards Card

Rewards Cards aren’t issued instantly from the dashboard the way standard virtual cards are. You submit a request and the Dash.fi team issues the card for you.
1

Open the Rewards cards tab

Go to Rewards in the left-hand navigation, then open the Cards tab.
2

Start a request

Click Request a Card.
3

Fill in the card details

Set a nickname, choose a spend limit, and select whether you want a virtual or physical card. For a physical card, enter the shipping address where it should be delivered.
4

Submit the request

Click Request Card. Your request is sent to the Dash.fi team, who will issue the card. You’ll be contacted if any additional detail is needed.
If you’d rather have the Dash.fi team set everything up for you, email support@dash.fi or contact your account manager — they can issue a Rewards Card on your behalf.

Set a PIN (physical cards)

A physical Rewards Card needs a PIN before it can be used at point-of-sale terminals.
1

Open the card

Go to Rewards → Cards and open your card.
2

Set the PIN

Click Set PIN (shown when the PIN status is “Not Set”), then enter and confirm a 4-digit PIN.
3

Confirm receipt

Check I have received my card and confirm.
You can track delivery from the card detail view once your card has shipped.

Manage your Rewards Card

From the card detail view you can:
  • Rename the card
  • Freeze and unfreeze it (snowflake and sun icons)
  • Archive it (permanent — an archived card can’t be reactivated)
  • Set a PIN on a physical card
Allowed countries and spend categories can’t be edited on a Rewards Card yourself — unlike standard virtual cards. The only field you can change after issuance is the card name. To adjust country or category access, contact support@dash.fi.

Find your Rewards Card transactions

Rewards Card transactions live in the Rewards section — not under Spend → Card Transactions, which only shows your standard virtual cards.
  1. Go to Rewards in the left-hand navigation
  2. Open the Transactions tab
  3. Use the filters to narrow by card or status
This is where a declined Rewards Card charge appears. If a declined transaction doesn’t show up here at all, the charge likely never reached authorization — the merchant or issuer rejected it before it hit your card. In that case, check the card itself (frozen, expired, or details entered incorrectly at checkout) and retry.

If your Rewards Card is declined

Open the transaction from Rewards → Transactions to see the decline reason. The difference from a standard card is how you resolve restriction-based declines:
What you seeWhat it meansWhat to do
Country not allowedThe merchant’s country isn’t enabled on the cardContact support@dash.fi — you can’t edit allowed countries on a Rewards Card yourself
Spend category not allowedThe merchant’s category isn’t enabled on the cardContact support@dash.fi — categories aren’t self-editable on a Rewards Card
Card frozenThe card was frozenUnfreeze it from the card detail view and retry
Spend limit reachedThe card’s spend limit has been usedContact support@dash.fi to discuss the limit
For general decline reasons that aren’t specific to Rewards Cards — card detail mismatches, expired cards, or issuer errors — see Card declines.
The self-serve “add the country or category to the card yourself” steps in Card declines apply to standard virtual cards, not Rewards Cards. On a Rewards Card, those controls are managed by Dash.fi.

Transferring your rewards balance

There’s no way to move a rewards balance from one card to another in the dashboard. To redeem your cashback, transfer it to your bank via PayPal — see Redeem cashback. If you need to reallocate funds in a specific way, contact support@dash.fi.

Cashback rates

Your cashback rates are defined by your account’s rewards terms — not configured per card and not set per merchant. You can’t change the rate on an individual card, and a card used at a particular merchant doesn’t have its own rate. See Earning rewards for how rates and qualification work, or review your rates with your account manager.
