Your connected bank account is the funding source Dash.fi uses for payments. You manage connected accounts from the Financial Accounts page — open it from the left-hand navigation and look under Connected Bank Accounts.

Connect a new bank account

  1. Go to Financial Accounts in the left-hand navigation
  2. Under Connected Bank Accounts, click Connect Account
  3. Log in to your bank through the Plaid interface to authenticate and link it
You can set a newly connected account as your default funding source during the connection step.

Your default funding source

The default account is the one Dash.fi uses as your primary funding source for payments.
  • No default set yet? Connect a new account and set it as the default during the connection step.
  • Want to switch the default to an account you’ve already connected? This can’t be changed in the dashboard yourself — contact support@dash.fi and the team will set it for you.

Re-authorise an existing connection

If a connected account shows a Needs Update badge, the connection has expired or been interrupted. To restore it:
  1. Go to Financial Accounts in the left-hand navigation
  2. Find the account showing Needs Update
  3. Click Re-authorize
  4. Follow the Plaid steps to reconnect your bank account
If the Re-authorize button isn’t available, the connection can’t be repaired automatically. Contact support@dash.fi and the team will help you update it.
If you’re changing banks entirely, make sure the new connection is active before your next payment is due. A missing or broken connection can cause a payment to fail and suspend your account. See Bounced payments for what to do if a payment fails.

Impact on ACH Auto-Pay

ACH Auto-Pay is authorised at your bank, not through Plaid. If you change banks, you’ll need to re-authorise Dash.fi as an approved payee at the new bank. See Set up ACH Auto-Pay for instructions. Updating your bank connection in Dash.fi doesn’t automatically carry over ACH authorisation from your previous bank.
