Connect a new bank account
- Go to Financial Accounts in the left-hand navigation
- Under Connected Bank Accounts, click Connect Account
- Log in to your bank through the Plaid interface to authenticate and link it
Your default funding source
The default account is the one Dash.fi uses as your primary funding source for payments.- No default set yet? Connect a new account and set it as the default during the connection step.
- Want to switch the default to an account you’ve already connected? Request the change from the dashboard using Make primary. See below.
Switch your primary funding source
You can ask to make any eligible connected account your primary funding source directly from the dashboard. The Dash.fi risk team reviews each request before the change takes effect.- Go to Financial Accounts in the left-hand navigation
- Under Connected Bank Accounts, find the account you want to switch to and click Make primary
- In the dialog, upload a recent bank statement for that account. The statement must be a PDF no larger than 5MB
- Click Send for review
Eligibility
Make primary is available on a connected account when all of the following are true:- The account isn’t already your default
- The connection is healthy. An account showing Needs Update must be re-authorized first
- The account has finished bank verification
- The account is set up as a funding account
- Your user role has permission to change payment settings
After the review
Administrators on your account are notified of the decision:- Approved — the Default badge moves to the new account, and a confirmation banner appears on the Financial Accounts page. You can dismiss the banner, or it clears on its own after 7 days.
- Declined — the decline reason is included in the notification and shown on the Financial Accounts page. Your default funding source stays unchanged, and you can submit a new request.
Re-authorise an existing connection
If a connected account shows a Needs Update badge, the connection has expired or been interrupted. To restore it:- Go to Financial Accounts in the left-hand navigation
- Find the account showing Needs Update
- Click Re-authorize
- Follow the Plaid steps to reconnect your bank account
If you’re changing banks entirely, make sure the new connection is active before your next payment is due. A missing or broken connection can cause a payment to fail and suspend your account. See Bounced payments for what to do if a payment fails.
