The Dash.fi AI Spend Agent monitors your spending across AI and large language model (LLM) providers. AI costs are becoming a material line item for many businesses. The agent shows where tokens are going, which models and use cases drive cost, and where you’re being overbilled — and it builds a submission-ready refund claim package for every billing discrepancy it confirms.
The AI Spend Agent is a paid add-on and is off by default. Contact your Customer Success Manager or support@dash.fi to enable it on your account.

What the agent does

  • Spend visibility — Breaks down AI and LLM spend by provider and model, with a daily trend and a 30-day rollup.
  • Waste detection — Flags inefficient usage patterns, cache-efficiency and model-selection issues, and governance risks like stale or untagged keys.
  • Overcharge detection — Compares provider-reported charges against expected pricing and flags billing and pricing discrepancies you can dispute.
  • Refund recovery — Turns billing-discrepancy findings into downloadable evidence packages you submit to the provider, and tracks each claim through completion.

Supported providers

The agent currently connects to Anthropic and OpenAI. You can connect either or both. Coverage is expanding. Contact support@dash.fi for the latest provider list and to discuss coverage for other platforms your team uses.

How to use the agent

  1. Connect a provider — Paste an Anthropic or OpenAI admin key so the agent can pull usage. Optionally upload your last 3 months of provider invoices to tighten billing reconciliation.
  2. Review your dashboard — Watch spend trend, per-model and per-provider breakdowns, and cache usage.
  3. Work the Action Plan — See anomalies and violations the agent has detected, ranked by estimated dollar impact.
  4. Recover overcharges — Open refund claims against billing discrepancies, download the evidence package, and submit it to the provider.

Getting started

The AI Spend Agent is a product entitlement on your Dash.fi account. Once it’s enabled:
  1. Sign in to app.dash.fi and open AI Spend Agent from the agents list on your dashboard.
  2. Click Configure and connect an Anthropic or OpenAI admin key. See Connect providers.
  3. The agent begins syncing your usage immediately. First findings typically appear within a few minutes of the initial audit.
